For the last year I’ve been operating a couple of sites, blogs, portals, etc. on a part time basis without giving a thought on making a lively hood out of it.  But seeing that leaving home at 6:30am and coming home at 7pm for a $2,884.79 biweekly check isn’t worth it to me anymore, I’ve decided to work on my sites in the comforts of my home on a full time.

Actually, the final straw that broke the camels back came two weeks ago when I was taking a sh-t and wondering why am I up so early rather than ironing some jeans and a white tee and heading out to S. Beach in my midnight blue with cocoa interior Maserati.  You see, I’m currently cleaning my colon,  so I’ve been spending a lot of time in the bathroom and its been giving me some analytical time, lol, you can also check my progress on my other blog, www.absinstuctor.com on how my ab development is going as well, shameless plug, but that’s BIZNESS!!

I was working (Past Tense!! I resigned) as in inside sales executive selling human labeled chemotherapy medication and safety equipment to veterinarians in the South Central U.S., so I have to be on the phones at 8am and stay an hour later to finish entering orders and let’s not include the hour drive there and back.

So let’s do the math shall we.  I was doing $70,000 in sales @ 20% Gross profit, I was making the company $14,000 in profit every month  MINUS my monthly salary and commissions $2884.79 MINUS my estimated cost to the company (phone, internet, electricity, water, and NOW AIR – isn’t that suppose to be free?) $500 and RENT ($1300/month, I will pay for  the whole company, why not) which equates to  $9,316.00 PROFIT/MONTH from my hard work.  And to top that off, they want me to concentrate on having my clients order ONLINE rather than call in the order, now how does that benefit me?  They told me it would give me more time to what — CALL more clients, lol, to make them MORE MONEY per hour I spent there, yeah OK Mr. Boss man.  Think about it, if I had eventually got all or most of my clients ordering online, why would they need me, right?

So, let’s see, they gave me a product to sell, office space, and some daily stress.  All I really needed was a product to sell, a website, couple of months living money, my Go Getter attitude, and I’m set, right?

But before I took the full plunge, I took in a REAL assessment of my situation to double check and see if I had the right tools in place to make this a reality.

Now, I have 2 things going against me off the bat.    #1 time – I have a newborn that is due November 9th (which is another post in itself), so time is of the essence and #2 a limited budget $2,500 and some change, and $112.00 in adwords money.

My goal:   To reach an income of $5,000 per month before 12/31/08.

Objective:  To create and manange a proxy network of 50 sites, 20 niche blogs, a  directory, 5 pay per click/paid sign up sites, parking/selling domains, an auction site, a proxy e book.

Worst Case Scenerio:  I don’t make any money and I have to look for another job.

OK Case Scenerio:  I make less than enough to survive a month and have to look for another job.  But now I have 2 income streams.

Best Case Scenerio:  I make $5,000 or more a month and now I can create more wealth with my money and All the time in the world to spend with the newborn.

But here’s what I do have:

Dedicated time: I can work on my business 24 hours a day without a boss

Free phone service: I paid a yearly fee of $40 for MagicJack.com (plugs in my computer and only works when the internet is on,) its not the best service but its FREE.

Computer: I have a laptop as well as a Gateway tower with high speed internet.

Hosting: I have paid hosting with TMZ hosting for my proxies, Cirtex Hosting for my Indiestandard.com and animeoblivion.com sites and Bluehost.com for all my blogs and other sites, reference2.com, stateoftheartist.com, and jumbohecm.com

Domains: I have over 700 domains, a lot are coming up for renewals NOW, but many of them are worthless to me, so I am picking and choosing which ones to keep and or sell, the other ones I will just let expire, they have no back links, traffic, nothing, I parked them at www.parked.com and they made me very little cash.

Home/office setup-  Supplies given to me by my girlfriend who works at a University ( Free paper, supplies, etc.), I wished they had FREE DIAPERS too, I would be set.  I created a wireless network of 3 computers shared between me and my brother and business partner for www.indiestandard.com

Degree: I have a degree in Marketing and 11 years in Sales for pharmaceuticals, telecom, paper, tobaccco companies.  So I have a great background on marketing and selling, now I have to hone in on those skills as well as some managerial skills to make this work.

And Lastly PERSONALITY: I am focused, determined, positive, creative thinking and motivated.  I think KNOW I am ready to take this project head on.   Let’s do this!!!
